JUNIOR HOCKEY 2010
Hockey Ballarat will trial mixed competitions for all junior age ranges in 2010.
Individual junior players are encouraged to contact Cristin Ruyg our Project Officer on 0407 338 508about getting involved in a junior team.
Hockey Ballarat is happy to assist all juniors in finding a team. We welcome anyone who would like to enter as an individual and those who can enter as a team.

The development of our ‘next generation of hockey players’ is dependant on volunteers to assist with coaching, umpiring, mentoring, assisting with canteen duty and just lending a hand – if you can assist in any way please contact us.

Junior State Championship Nominations NOW OPEN!
URGENT MESSAGE:
SOUTH WEST ZONE TRIALS HAVE BEEN POSTPONED FOR ONE WEEK
They will now be conducted on Sunday (18th ) from 9am @ Warrnambool. (not 11th April)
9.00am- Under 13
10.30am- Under 15
2nd trial date TBC

Aspiring young hockey players are encouraged to nominate for the 2010 Hockey Victorian Junior State Championships (JSC).
Players selected at the completion of zone trials will represent their zone (one of 6 metropolitan and 4 regional zones) by competing in the Junior State championships.
In 2010 there will be two Junior State Championships for both boys and girls:
• Under 13 and Under 15 - 28th June – 3rd July 2010
• Under 17- 1st-3rd October 2010
The Junior State Championships are a vital part of talented young players development, helping them to achieve the best of their potential through the newly re-vamped Hockey Victoria talent pathway.
The aims of the Junior State Championships include:
• to aid junior players development
• to foster a positive and cohesive team environment with players from their zone
• to foster the development of coaches and officials
• to have State Under 13 and Under 15 Squads selected
• to be the first step in identification of players for the Under 18 State Squad

Positions Vacant- CLEANER WANTED
Please see the Cleaner position that Hockey Ballarat is keen to fill.
Applications close on Friday the 2nd of April.
We are also still looking for a someone who is willing to manage the Canteen for the season.
This does not mean you will be ‘running’ it every weekend, but rather, managing everyone else who will be rostered there, as well as ordering stock and ensuring OH&S standards are met etc.
A food handlers certificate is preferable, but not necessary.
