Committee Roles and Responsibilties

As Implemented By Hockey Ballarat April 2009

Executive:

  • Dissemination of information and Newsletters
  • Finance
  • Co-ordination of sub-committees
  • Development of strategic plan and key focus areas
  • Umpiring Development
  • Tribunals
  • Sponsorships

The Executive committee meets once per month (or more frequently as required) and comprises of a maximum of 8 members.

Participation:

  • Managment of Senior and Junior competitions
  • Recruitment of teams
  • Competition Details
  • Fixtures
  • Umpires Roster
  • Results and Ladders
  • Representative Team Entries and Liason
  • Special Events & Carnivals 
  • Delegates meetings 

Facilities:

  • Maintenance including priorities budgets and volunteers
  • Canteen including operations, policy and rostering
  • Storage Space
  • Cleaning

Administration:

  • Sponsorships
  • Signage
  • Media including website
  • Special Events

Finance:

  • Setting of team/player and turf fees
  • Setting of pitch hire rates
  • Setting of annual budget
  • Monitoring of financial position of association
